We meet each week on Shabbat at 10.30 am. Our service is done in Hebrew, then we read the passage again in English.
We use a First Century Siddur and read Torah in Hebrew as a congregation on a Triennial Cycle. Our research has shown that this is similar to how Shabbat would have been observed around the time of the Second Temple. We also read the Haftarah and Matthew in Hebrew in the three-year cycle.
Our focus is on the whole Bible, each week we read and then study. This is followed by a communal lunch. So, most of the day is taken up.
We have now being reading the Torah in Hebrew and English for five years, so it is possible for a small community to read Torah!

We have a Hebrew Help Group on Monday evenings at 7:30 pm . We regularly tie Tefillin together and teach people how to do this in their custom. We have Erev Shabbat in our homes, but on Rosh Chodesh we do a special one together.
Our structure is as follows. We have a Bet Din for any issues that need to be decided as a community. Otherwise, the Elders or Congregational Membership vote by ballot. We have elected Yeshua as our King of the Community and so do not have a president or chairman. We are a congregational community who want to live in and prepare for the Kingdom of Yeshua. We look to the Customs of the Fathers not the Traditions of the Elders.
The Sefer Torah Scroll is a Sephardic one Written in Jerusalem around 1920. We have had a real Blessing with this in our Synagogue. It has made a real impact on our Hebrew studies. May it always breath the life of Torah into peoples hearts. So if you are in Auckland New Zealand come and visit and enjoy!
Or if you are looking for a place to learn Hebrew and how to read Torah, come along.
