Hebrew Group

Frank, our Hebrew Tutor

The Hebrew group had been going for four years and was taught by Frank.

Frank is a most remarkable man to say the least. As a young man of twelve, his home Synagogue was Stoke-on-Trent where he studied Hebrew and liturgy.

His romance with the Hebrew language has continued all his life. He carried his pocket Torah with him, even when he studied linguistics at the Moscow University. He is at home with most European linguistics, but his passion has always been Torah.

This is Frank! A better friend you will not find, and a better teacher of Hebrew, would be hard to find! Over the last six years Frank has taught around 50 people to read Hebrew from the Torah.

Frank has now moved to a different city after giving so selflessly for such a long time. He has left behind former students who are willing to continue the good work that he started in helping people to learn Hebrew.

For any who are interested, we can teach you how to read Hebrew. If you are really keen then we will work with you to get into the grammar. The best time to do this is Shabbat afternoon but we are flexible and will work with anyone who is committed to learning Biblical Hebrew!

Below is a chart to help you get started. You may need to download our special Font so that you can read the Hebrew letters clearly.
